Beaches in Cornwall

With a coastline stretching for over 250 miles Cornwall has no shortage of fantastic beaches and coves. These range from secluded, barely accessible rocky coves to huge expanses of golden sand on the Atlantic coast. It is little wonder that Cornwall beaches are rated among the best in the UK and even the world. Here are some that are close to us.

TREBARWITH STRAND

12 miles / 20 mins / PL34 0HB

This large stretch of sandy beach is popular with surfers and families alike, although completely covered at high tide. (Please be aware that there is no wheelchair access.) There are a couple of shops and cafés as well as the Port William pub, which serves food throughout the day.

CRACKINGTON HAVEN

10 miles / 18 mins / EX23 0JG

A small sandy beach surrounded by 400ft cliffs and with plenty of rock pools to explore.

WIDEMOUTH BAY

14 miles / 20 mins / EX23 8JY

This mile long sandy beach is backed by low cliffs and has many rock pools to explore. It is very popular with families and surfers.
