Food glorious food – Cornwall has some of the best around! With an abundance of incredible local produce and supremely talented chefs ready to turn it into something magical, you won’t struggle to find something utterly delicious for every meal. Check out a few of our favourite hot spots both in walking distance from Ekopod and a little further out. Charming vegan eateries, homely farm shops, good pub grub, a bit of fine dining and even literary legends – it’s all right here in Cornwall!

3 Miles / 8 Minutes Drive from Ekopod
The Rising Sun, Altarnun
The Rising Sun is our local, good food in a relaxed 16th Century moorland inn. They serve a great selection of local ales too so if you fancy trying one or two why not take the country route and walk to the pub? The round trip is about 50 minutes along tracks and trails and over the hills, take a torch if it’s an evening trip!
8 Miles / 15 Minutes Drive from Ekopod
Hilltop Farm Shop, Camelford
The Hilltop Farm Shop is a really lovely spot to relax a while and grab a bite to eat. They serve fantastic local produce, beautifully cooked. You can stock up on delicious bites to bring back to Ekopod too! Be warned, the Farm Shop is closed on Sundays.

Jamaica Inn, Bodmin
The famed Jamaica Inn is well worth a visit during your Ekopod stay. Made famous by Daphne Du Maurier’s book of the same name, this historic moorland pub oozes charm and atmosphere. Not to mention it’s dog friendly and there’s a great play area for the kids – something for everyone!

The Eagle House Hotel, Launceston
The Eagle House Hotel is in a really beautiful setting, we’d really recommend checking it out for yourself. Open for food between 6pm and 8pm, you can grab a light bite to go with your local beer or opt for a full three course meal and linger a while in the Eagle House’s lovely in or outdoor seating areas.

Buddhas Kitchen and Lounge, Launceston
Looking for some tasty vegan food in Cornwall? Launceston’s Buddha’s Kitchen and Lounge has got you. Open for breakfast, coffee and lunches through the week, stop by for a light bite. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for details of weekend pop up dinners too!
